The safety of our staff is paramount and the INTEGA team relocated to home working on 11 March 2020, some time before it became mandatory. We were able to do this without any impact in services, indeed many clients did not notice (!) because our IT systems are optimised for remote working with all data and systems hosted in the cloud.
Our surveyors and project managers are used to working from construction sites, the train, home and the occasional Starbucks and this was nothing new. The only difference this time is that the offices were stripped of large monitors, task chairs and other essentials to ensure that home conditions were properly set-up.
We are continuing to inspect properties and construction sites where it is safe to do so and meetings are held on Zoom or MS Teams. We have found the level of internal and external communication to have actually increased in these difficult times!
Like everyone we are hoping the crisis will pass as soon as possible, but in the interim we remain able to fully service client requirements from the home office and site.
